New Artesyn Design Center in Taiwan Will Develop Innovative Power Conversion Solutions

Taipei, Taiwan. [15 June, 2015] — Artesyn Embedded Technologies today opened a new design center in Taipei, Taiwan, to help its customers accelerate their time-to-market by providing outstanding local technical expertise. The company has added several new teams of design engineers to its existing field application engineering staff to focus on innovative designs of power supplies for server, switch, storage and cloud networking equipment. The teams will develop custom and modified-standard power supplies, including complete power shelves and solutions for Project Scorpio or Open Compute Project (OCP) data center installations.
At a grand opening ceremony today, Jay Geldmacher, CEO of Artesyn Embedded Technologies, said “Taiwan is one of the world’s largest suppliers of computing and networking equipment, hosting research and development centers and procurement offices for most of the top information and communications companies. Our new design center is a reflection of our investment in this market and in this region as this center will enable ICT companies to leverage cost-effective power conversion solutions to create better products more quickly and with confidence in dealing with a world-class partner on their doorstep.”
