New Series of Open Frame 360 W AC-DC Power Supplies for Medical, Industrial and IT Applications

Tempe, Ariz. [22 January, 2015] — Artesyn Embedded Technologies today announced the new 360 watt high-efficiency LPS360-M series of AC-DC power supplies with medical and IT equipment safety approvals. The new open frame power supply series is in the industry standard 3 x 5 inch (76.2 x127 mm) footprint and just 1.37 inches (34.83 mm) high.

The LPS360-M Series consists of single 12, 15, 24, and 48 V adjustable output models with 5 V standby output at 2 A and a 12 V fan output at 1 A. With a 90–264 VAC or 120-300 VDC input range, the LPS360-M series also offers active power factor correction (PFC typically 0.99) and efficiency of up to 93 percent at full load. While the standard operating temperature range of the power supplies are 0 to 50 degrees Celsius, they can operate up to 70 degrees Celsius with derating and can start from minus 40 degrees Celsius.

The Artesyn LPS360-M series offers additional features such as protection from overvoltage, overload and thermal overload, remote sense and power fail logical control, and a digital I2C interface using the industry standard PMBus™ protocol. An optional enclosure kit (LPX200) is available.

Units are available from stock with standard production quantity lead times of 10 weeks. Pricing starts at $110 each in OEM quantities.

All models are safety approved to TUV/UL/cULus EN60950 for ITE, EN60601-1 for medical equipment, carry the CE Mark (LVD), have a CB certificate and report, and are CCC approved.
