Advanced Energy addresses AC-DC conversion requirements from a wide range of applications with a portfolio of cost-effective power factor conversion (PFC) and AC-DC modules that allow designers to quickly implement application-specific power supplies. The portfolio features the 500 W AIF-500 full-brick high-efficiency AC-DC modules that accept 85 to 264 VAC input and convert to low-voltage DC. The modules are particularly well-suited to IP-sealed applications where a highly dense, contact-cooled solution is needed, including remote-radio-head (RRH), industrial, and transport power supplies. PFC families include modules with power ratings ranging from 75 W to 2,400 W. Designed to operate from the universal AC-mains voltage, the modules can feed one or more downstream high-voltage isolated DC-DC converters in such applications as transport and avionics.
