***NEW PRODUCT ANNOUNCEMENT***
GENEVA, Ohio—TEGAM, Inc., specialists in temperature measurement, announces the latest advance in thermometry. The 92x Series of Digital Thermocouple Thermometers are designated intrinsically safe to UL, CSA, ATEX and IECEx Standards.
TEGAM is an established leader in temperature measurement technology and handheld accuracy. The new 92X intrinsically safe digital thermometers are the latest advance and are an essential tool for customers working in potentially explosive environments.
President Adam Fleder states, “TEGAM has a long history of building advanced digital thermometers. After the release of the advanced 91X Thermometers, our engineers set out to develop an Intrinsically Safe version to address applications in the aerospace, fossil fuels, pharmaceutical and semiconductor industries. TEGAM thermometers are certified intrinsically safe to use in potentially hazardous environments.”
Dan Jackson, Thermometry Product Manager, discussed the importance of the 920 Series recently. “Up until now, many of the available solutions were limited in flexibility and exorbitantly expensive. We have developed an intrinsically safe system of probes and temperature measurement instruments that can be configured for your application at a fair price. We didn’t want our customers to have to choose between cost and safety!”
The 92X Series of Intrinsically Safe Thermometers are available in single and dual channel versions and were designed according to the same specifications that customers have come to expect of TEGAM. They are MIL SPEC shock, drop & vibration rated, offer up to 2000 hours of battery life, boast an accuracy of ±(0.04% rdg + 0.3 °C) with Certificate of Traceability and offer the option of an ISO 17025 Calibration Certificate. The 92X is UL listed Class I, Division 1, Group C and D, T4 and ATEX-certified Class I, Zone 0 AEx ia IIB T4. These thermometry instruments can be used continuously in the presence of liquid fuels and fuel vapors.
