Advanced Energy’s Year of Transformation
投稿 1月 31, 2024 によって Peter Gillespie
2023 was a year of transformation in engineering, operations and digital capability for Advanced Energy. After more than 40 years, AE was more innovative and productive than ever, introducing leapfrog new technology platforms, expanding manufacturing capacity and launching an entirely new multi-brand website with expanded design tools.
AE announced a record number of new products in 2023, introducing game-changing innovations, including the eVerest™, eVoS™, Artesyn® NeoPower NP08 and iHP Liquid platform products. At the vanguard of semiconductor manufacturing precision power, AE’s new products are enabling the Angstrom Era. In Industrial and Medical applications, AE achieved record revenue while introducing 4X better power density in configurable power supplies and delivering power solutions for critical care, including electrosurgery and diagnostics.
Taking on the growing challenge of increased power consumption for AI workloads, AE offered power savings with industry-leading efficiencies in data center rack power conversion, DC-DC modules and power shelf products that reduce losses with 48V architectures.
In 2023, AE announced investments in operations, including the groundbreaking of a flagship manufacturing facility in Thailand, capable of delivering up to $1 billion in annual revenue at full production levels, and expansion of its Mexicali factory campus. These investments position AE for growth and provide incremental capacity as AE’s customers ramp production.
To enable engineers to quickly find rich technical content and what they need online, AE’s new website features smart search and application-centric navigation to guide visitors to design-oriented content in the least number of clicks. This has doubled the number of online visitors and tripled engagement.
Advanced Energy has grown both organically and through strategic acquisitions. In 2023 AE brought its brands closely together and leveraged its deep knowhow – creating multiple new products with components from several AE engineering teams. For instance, AE’s deep high voltage experience, combined with its plasma and medical knowledge, led to genre-breaking products like eVoS and FlexiCharge.
In a world where companies must balance demanding processes, environmental sustainability and keeping operating costs low, there is a greater need for precise and high efficiency power delivery, control and measurement. 2023 was transformational for AE – as a company it is now far more capable in its markets of Semiconductor, Industrial & Medical and Data Center Computing.
In 2024, AE will benefit from the fundamentals put in place to further accelerate new product innovations and best-in-class operational performance. From one transformative year to another, Advanced Energy is leading the way in highly engineered precision power and control solutions.
