396 W Quarter-Brick Isolated DC-DC Converters
The AVQ400 series of 396 W quarter-brick isolated DC-DC converters produce a low-noise 12 VDC output and deliver up to 33 A from a wide 2:1 input range of 36 to 75 VDC. Designed mainly for standard 48 V telecom equipment supplies, these converters feed downstream non-isolated point-of-load (POL) converters in systems with distributed power architectures (DPAs).
Operating over a wide ambient temperature range (-40 to 85˚C) and a typical efficiency of 95%, the converters’ open-frame design and aluminum base plate option allow forced air or conduction cooling and enhanced thermal performance. At just 0.37 inch high installed, the converters are ideal for systems with demanding inter-board spacing requirements.
To minimize external EMI filtering, the converters switch at a fixed frequency. Features include remote enable, non-latching overvoltage, and overtemperature protection.
