VENTURA, Calif. — June 12, 2017 — SL Power Electronics, an industry leader in design and manufacture of high-efficiency power supplies, announced a new addition to its family of medical-grade external power supplies– ME90 Series. The new ME90 Series models complement SL Power’s comprehensive external power supply offering with incremental power levels from 10 watts to 240 watts.

The new single-output ME90 models meet IEC60601-1-2 4^th edition EMC requirement, feature 2x Mean of Patient Protection (MOPP), leverage state of the art 7-year electrolytic capacitors and deliver over 88% efficiency in a small rugged form factor. The ME90 models are specifically designed for next-generation primary and acute medical applications such as surgical equipment, patient monitoring equipment, and therapeutic electro-medical devices that require a high level of EMC, EMC and input performance.

The ME90 Series models feature:

• Approved to EN/IEC/UL60601-1, 3rd edition with isolation levels which satisfy the 2x MOPP requirements

The ME90 Series models will operate at universal input range of 90 to 264 Vac over the wide temperature range of -20 °C to +50 °C, delivering full rated output power up to +40 °C and applicable output power derating at 50°C. These models are available in desktop versions, include an IP22 rating per IEC60529 for the enclosure, and the output cable can be terminated at a variety of output connectors.
