RF Thermistor Power Meter

Thermistor-based RF power sensors are recognized as an exceptionally accurate means to measure and transfer RF power. The TEGAM Model 1830A thermistor power meter was designed to replace the HP432 while reducing uncertainties and accommodating a wider variety of RF power sensors. It combines a modern DC substitution bridge with a 6.5 digit measurement system to provide consistent normalized RF power readings manually or automatically. We leveraged our experience building Type IV bridges to develop superior DC substitution power meters with advanced analog and digital electronics that provide exceptionally low uncertainties in a portable instrument.

Features

  • Accuacy ±(0.05% of reading, ±0.5 µW)
  • Supports 100 Ω and 200 Ω thermistors
  • Integrates bridge balancer and power meter into one package
  • Full remote programmability
  • Heater control for ovenized sensors
  • Power sensor calibration factor entry/correction
  • Compatible with multiple manufacturer thermistor sensors (AE-TEGAM, Weinschel, HP/Agilent/Keysight, Hughes, General Microwave, Millitech)
  • NSN: 6625-01-566-7703
  • 3 Year Warranty
  • Made in USA

Benefits

  • Uncertainty is sufficiently small to be a minimal contributor in the overall uncertainty budget
  • Replaces other thermistor power meters including the HP432
  • Provides a digital readout of the power reading
  • Provides a calibration factor corrected power reading (when entered)
  • Programability enables automation in power sensor calibration systems
